But because it's made from petroleum-based plastic, it comes with trade-offs—it sheds microplastics over time, doesn't naturally biodegrade, and can trap heat and odors, making us question whether it's the best choice for everyday movement.

Nylon

Nylon is often used in premium activewear for its smooth feel, strength, and stretch. Yet like polyester, it's a petroleum-based synthetic fabric that comes with environmental costs—it requires significant energy to produce, releases microplastic fibers during use and washing, and can remain in the environment for decades before breaking down.

Instead of building our products around synthetic plastic fibers, we chose a fabric derived from nature.

TENCEL™ Lyocell is made from responsibly sourced wood pulp and transformed into a soft, high-performance fiber through an innovative closed-loop process.
